New name, same content.

Welcome to Zorsay SHOR.

Ahead of our July edition, we wanted to share that we’ve changed our name from Zorsay to SHOR. But don’t worry, we’re still the same monthly newsletter.

Our new name “Shor” comes from the Hindi (शोर) and Urdu (شور) word for “noise” or “uproar,” reflecting our mission to bring the energetic pulse of our community to you and create buzz about where to be and what to see here in the city.

To reintroduce ourselves, at the start of every month, we curate and share a monthly calendar of events—from DJ sets to pop ups to literature festivals—to help you stay plugged in. In the coming months, you can expect our usual mix of upcoming events, new restaurant openings, chai spot reviews, and micro-profiles of South Asian change makers in New York.
